Life insurance

There are two ways we can arrange this coverage:

  1. Level Term Assurance provides a fixed amount of coverage throughout the policy's term. This type of cover is ideal for interest-only mortgages where the amount owed does not decrease over time.

  2. Decreasing Term Assurance also pays out a lump sum upon death, but the amount decreases over time. This is a good option for those with repayment mortgages as the payout will align with the remaining mortgage amount. Plus, the premiums for decreasing cover are typically more affordable than level term cover.

Our friendly team can help you choose the best coverage for your needs, whether it's for your health or for regular use.

Critical Illness insurance

Critical illness insurance offers financial protection in the event of a serious illness or injury. If you are diagnosed with one of the covered critical illnesses (usually around 30-40 are included), you can receive a tax-free lump sum based on the provider's definition. This money can be used however you see fit, whether it's to pay off a mortgage or cover income loss, or even to fund private treatment. It's designed to ease the financial burden during a difficult time, allowing you to focus on your health and loved ones without worrying about finances.

Similar to life insurance, critical illness cover can provide a fixed lump sum or decrease in line with your mortgage balance. You can choose to have it together with life insurance or as a standalone policy, and it's not necessary to cover the full mortgage amount if budget is a concern. Keep in mind that different providers offer different definitions and additional benefits, so it's important to consider not just the cost but also the level of coverage that fits your budget and needs.

Income Protection

An Income Protection plan provides you with a monthly income to replace a portion of your earnings in case you are unable to work due to illness or injury. You can choose the waiting period before it starts paying out, and it will continue to do so until you are fit to work again, reach retirement age, or the policy term ends. This guarantees that you can maintain your lifestyle without worrying about a regular income, regardless of any state benefit reductions. It's like a friendly safety net for you and your loved ones.

Family Income Protection Benefit

Family Income Benefit provides coverage in case of death, with the added benefit of paying a regular, tax-free income instead of a one-time lump sum. This option is ideal for those who prefer their dependents to receive a consistent income rather than having to make a decision on a large sum at once. The policy term can be tailored to your family's needs, such as ending when your youngest child reaches 18 or 21. Additionally, the coverage amount can be adjusted for inflation to maintain its value over time. Family Income Benefit is an affordable option to ensure your loved ones can maintain their current lifestyle, even if you are no longer present.
